The Central Research Laboratory engages in a broad spectrum of research projects, including fundamental research in pursuit of the true nature of light, and applied research in industrial applications in which the technology and knowledge gained through that fundamental research can be put to work.
This laboratory primarily conducts research relating to biophotonics, in which opto-technology is applied in the field of life science.
Research is conducted here into what it means to be in a true state of health, by measuring the physical functions of athletes and the elderly.
