Hamamatsu develops ultra-compact, high-precision MEMS mirror for head-up displays and microprojectors
Hamamatsu, Japan – September 27, 2012 – Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has developed ultra-compact, high-precision MEMS mirrors which are expected to spur new developments in automotive head-up displays, microprojectors, and other applications. The new device is an electromagnetically-activated laser scanning MEMS mirror that will be available in one-dimensional and two-dimensional formats. Sample delivery to manufacturers of automotive electronics, consumer electronics, and measurement instruments is scheduled to begin from January 2013.
The new MEMS mirror will be exhibited at CEATEC JAPAN 2012, an IT and electronics trade show, from October 2 to 6, 2012, at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan.
