CCD image sensors have extremely low noise and so can acquire image signals with a high S/N. Hamamatsu CCD image sensors use an FFT-CCD that achieves a 100 % fill factor and collects light with zero loss, making them ideal for high precision measurement such as spectrophotometry. There are two types: a front-illuminated type and a back-thinned type with higher quantum efficiency. Both types are available in various pixel sizes and layouts, allowing you to select the optimal device to meet your needs.

CCD image sensors (for spectrophotometry)(61)

CCD image sensors suitable for high-precision spectrophotometry.
Back-thinned type CCD are designed to deliver high quantum efficiency (90% or more at peak sensitivity wavelength).

CCD image sensors (for machine vision)(2)

CCD image sensors (for scientific measurement)(12)

CCD image sensors for scientific measurements.

Back-thinned type TDI-CCD(4)

TDI (time delay integration)-CCD captures clear, bright images even under low-light-level conditions during high-speed imaging. During TDI mode, the CCD captures an image of a moving object while transfering integrated signal charges synchronously with the object movement. This operation mode dramatically boosts sensitivity to high levels even when capturing fast moving objects.

X-ray CCD image sensors(8)

X-ray CCD image sensors are used for radiography or nondestructive inspection.
