Annual Report 20097X-ray scintillatorSales of imaging devices and light sourcesIn the medical field, the Electron Tube Division enjoyed strong sales of x-rayscintillators for dental x-ray imaging and chest x-ray imaging. However,reductions in capital spending in the entire manufacturing sector had asignificant impact on revenues from other products, including microfocus x-ray sources for the nondestructive inspection of precision components, andspot light sources for high-precision UV curing. As a result, overall sales ofimaging devices and light sources in fiscal year 2009 were ¥11.553 billion, adecrease of 28.9% compared to the previous fiscal year.Light sources
