Occupational Health and Safety Policy

Hamamatsu Photonics aim to grow and develop further as a reliable and trusted company which contributes to the improvement of society and human welfare. Our Company are committed to the research, development and manufacture of photonics related products which lead to the creation of new industries. We wish to harness the infinite possibilities of “light” to contribute to the building of a better society.

As a responsible employer, our company recognize that health and safety is important part of human welfare. Therefore, our objective is to provide a safe and comfortable working environment and reduce occupational hazards to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of all our employees. To achieve this we:

 

  1. Established an Occupational Health and Safety Management System to promote continuous improvement in our activities.
  2. Undertake regular Risk Assessments to identify hazards and implement effective measures to reduce risk and prevent occupational injuries and illnesses.
  3. Defined Health and Safety objectives to reduce occupational risks and hazards, creating a comfortable working environment, to maintain the physical and mental wellbeing of our employees. We will actively promote our objectives to our employees to have no occupational disasters, no illness and no traffic accidents.
  4. Follow all Laws, Regulations and Corporate Standards applicable to Occupational Health and Safety.
  5. Communicate our Occupational Health and Safety Policy to all persons working in Hamamatsu Photonics to make them aware of their duties, and disclose to all stakeholders.

 

 

Occupational Health and Safety Standardization

We employ the "OHSAS18001" Occupational Health and Safety Management System. With the method of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) Cycle based on the risk assessment, we continuously improve our Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
