Real-time confocal microscopy provides confocal images at very high frame rate. It normally requires very high sensitive and high frame rate cameras to capture images fast enough to synchronize to the frame rate of the microscope. Cameras are available in different technologies to fit to various applications using real time confocal microscopes.
