Gene expression in living organisms can be visualized and analyzed with gene probes generating fluorescence or luminescence. Due to limited light level of gene expression, it requires very high sensitivity cameras for imaging signals. It also requires near infrared sensitive cameras for imaging gene expression inside of animal body through skins.
