System Division announces construction of new No.3 and No.4 factories in the area where its main factory is now situated.

We are pleased to announce that System Division will soon start construction of two new factories, providing additional 11,113m2 floor space within the main factory area. The completion of the new factories is scheduled for December 2006 with production commencing in February 2007.
After completion, the production department in Miyakoda factory and the sales department presently located at headquarters will be transferred to the main factory area. This relocation will enable them both to improve work efficiency as well as to expand business. We are aiming at increasing businesses like the digital slide scanning system in pathology market, the real-time semiconductor failure analyses system for a high speed drive IC and the bio-related consumable goods.
The new facilities are part of Hamamatsu Photonics' ongoing strategy of expansion to sustain future business growth and to provide the highest level of quality and customer support.
