Hamamatsu, Japan - December 19, 2006 - Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has announced that the construction of its new No. 3 and No. 4 factories in Joko, Hamamatsu City, has been completed. The new factories are located within the main factory area of the company's Systems Division. They will house the division's product design, manufacturing and sales groups, which until now had been spread out in different locations. This new centralized arrangement is intended to improve work efficiency as well as contribute to sales growth.

The No. 3 and No. 4 factories had been under construction since February 2006. Equipment will be moved into the new facilities during the upcoming New Year's holidays, with production scheduled to begin on January 8, 2007.
