Hamamatsu develops cost-effective and space-saving photo ion bar for electrostatic removal in manufacturing lines

Hamamatsu, Japan – January 24, 2013 – Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has developed a new electrostatic remover, the L12536 wide-length photo ion bar, for use in manufacturing lines to prevent dust from adhering on products. The L12536 is a space-saving unit device that offers high performance at a similarly low cost as conventional corona-discharge type ionizers. Samples of the L12536 will be available from January 30, 2013, to manufacturers of equipment for producing LCDs, semiconductors, etc. Mass production is scheduled to begin in April 2013.

The L12536 photo ion bar will be exhibited from January 30 to February 1, 2013, at Neo Functional Material (High-functional Film and Processing) trade show at Tokyo Big Sight convention center. From February 27 to March 1, 2013, the L12536 will be on display at the Battery Japan 4th International Rechargeable Battery Expo, one of the world’s largest trade shows on rechargeable batteries, which will also be held at Tokyo Big Sight.
