波長可変半導体レーザ吸収分光法 (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy, TDLAS) は半導体レーザを用いた分光手法の一つです。DFB半導体レーザの発振波長がレーザの駆動温度や駆動電流で制御可能であることを利用し、鋸歯状波の駆動電流(電流ランプ)を印加し発振波長を走査してQCLを駆動します。また、TDLASにおいては、周期的に発振波長を変調しロックインアンプを利用して微分検出することで、高感度な分光計測が可能となります。
CWコントローラ C16174-01は、超低ノイズな半導体レーザ駆動用電源です。TDLASを実現するための波長変調機能や、1 mKの高い温度安定性のTEC(ペルチェ)制御機能をもつ、TDLASに最適なコントロールユニットです。
DFB-QCLの本質的な発振線幅は、1kHzを下回ることが知られてます。この最大の特徴を活かした高精度な計測を実現するためには、低ノイズな電源が必要です。ジッタやリップルノイズノイズの大きい電源でDFB-QCLを動作させた場合、発振線幅は300 GHz近くまで広がってしまいます。超低ノイズなCWコントローラとDFB-QCLを組み合わせることで、狭線幅かつ高精度な計測を可能にします。
