When was the company established?

The company was established in September 1953 (the name at the time of establishment was Hamamatsu TV Co., Ltd. ).

In April 1983, the company changed its name to Hamamatsu Photonics K.K., which is the current name of the company.

When were your shares listed?

The company went over-the-counter in August 1984, was subsequently listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in July 1996 and was listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in March 1998. And the company has transited to Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in April 2022.

I have lost my dividend receipt, what should I do?

Please contact Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, our Shareholder Registrar. The bank will send you the necessary documents (remittance request form) to receive the dividend, so please fill in the necessary information there and return it to the bank. 

The bank will then transfer the dividend to the designated account after confirming the payment status at the Japan Post Bank and the post office.

Note 1) Please note that due to payment status checks at Japan Post Bank and post offices, it will take approximately one and a half months after the end of the dividend payment period (approximately one month) for dividends to be transferred. 

 

Note 2) Payment of dividends by remittance request form will be made by bank transfer to an account at a financial institution designated by the applicant.

Please note that this transfer is applicable only to the payment of the relevant dividend.

In order to avoid forgetting to receive dividends in the future, we recommend that you receive dividends by bank transfer. In this case, please submit a dividend transfer designation form.

The payment deadline for dividend receipts has passed, what should I do?

Dividends from dividend receipts that have been received after the payment period (approximately one month) cannot be collected at Japan Post Bank and post offices. After the receipt period has elapsed, you can receive the dividend in one of the following ways.

The dividend receipt is valid for five years from the date of commencement of payment; after five years, dividends cannot be paid in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation.

(1)Bring the dividend receipt to the following offices of the Company’s Shareholder Registrar(Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited)

(2)Stamp or sign the front of the dividend receipt and send it to the Shareholder Registrar (Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited)
