Webinar - Assessing food quality and safety with SWIR and X-ray inspection techniques

Machine vision technology enables companies in the food supply chain to automate inspection processes and minimize errors in food selection and packaging. This technology can detect defects that are often invisible to the human eye, ensuring higher quality and consistency. Additionally, it identifies foreign objects such as metal, stones, plastics, and glass shards, which must be removed to prevent damage to processing machinery and, more importantly, to protect the consumer.

Hamamatsu Photonics, a leading company in the design, development, and production of optoelectronic components and systems, will present two inspection techniques: the first based on adopting SWIR imaging and spectroscopy with InGaAs sensors, cameras, and spectrometers. The second technique utilizes X-ray technology with appropriate sources and detectors for use in production lines.
