Koheras series – Single-frequency fiber lasers

Koheras series is a single-frequency fiber laser by NKT Photonics, available in the erbium, ytterbium, and thulium wavelength ranges, with the capability for frequency conversion to other wavelengths. It features extremely low phase and intensity noise levels, ensuring stable operation even under changing environmental conditions.

The distributed feedback (DFB) structure of the laser resonator maintains high reliability over thousands of hours of operation, making it suitable for various applications requiring very low-intensity noise levels. Leveraging its high output and wavelength stability, it can also be used as a laser for ion and atom cold traps in the emerging field of quantum computing.
