FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer)エンジン C15511-01は、片手で持ち運びできる小型のフーリエ変換型近赤外分光器です。手のひらサイズの筐体に、マイケルソン光干渉計と制御回路を内蔵しています。PCとUSB接続することによって、スペクトルや吸光度の測定を行うことができます。測定対象を分析室に持ち込まないで現場で行うリアルタイム計測、常時計測するモニタリングに応用できます。
光干渉計には、光入射部、ビームスプリッタ、固定ミラー、可動ミラー (ϕ3 mm)、光検出器が内蔵されています。光検出器は、可動ミラーの位置によって変化する光強度信号を取得します。この光強度信号を演算処理 (フーリエ変換)することで、分光スペクトルが得られます。
FTIRエンジンには可動ミラーの位置をモニタするため半導体レーザ (VCSEL: Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser)を内蔵しており、高い波長精度でスペクトル測定を行うことができます。
本製品には、測定条件の設定、データの取得・保存、グラフ表示などの機能をもつ評価用ソフトウェアが付属されています。また、DLL (Dynamic Link Library)の関数仕様を公開しているため、ユーザーサイドで独自の計測ソフトウェアを作成できます。
