社内では毎年、環境配慮型製品・環境貢献製品の新製品開発を行っています。当期における代表的な事例をご紹介します。
C15433は、レーザ波形観測用バイプラナ光電管で使用する高圧電源です。国際エネルギースタープログラム レベル6の要求事項を満たすACアダプタの採用などにより、従来品より電力消費を10%削減することができました。
L11038-11は、小型レーザヘッドでありながら、2mJの高エネルギー出力が可能な受動Qスイッチ型の短パルスレーザです。その特長から、LIBS(Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy:レーザ誘起プラズマ分光)用光源として注目されています。LIBSは測定対象物の前処理等が不要なため、廃棄物リサイクルやプラントのインライン検査等の「その場分析」への適用において重要な手法になると期待されています。
レーザ加熱システム(L15570)は、加工点の温度を計測しながらレーザ熱加工を行うためのレーザ光源です。レーザ加工はレーザの持つ電気-光変換効率の高さ(LEDの約2倍)から、省エネルギーで製品を生産することが可能です。そのため、従来、加熱炉を用いて生産していた工程をレーザ加工に変えることで消費電力量を約1/10に抑制できます。また、レーザを用いた樹脂溶着技術は同一材料を強固に接合でき、加工安定性が高いため、歩留まりの向上(材料廃棄の減少)や、製品のリサイクル性向上を可能にします。
L11601-07は、マイクロプレートを使用し、一括測定して蛍光経時変化を計測するFDSS/uCELL 向けの、蛍光指示薬Fura-2用励起光源です。従来、Fura-2の測定は、FDSS7000EXでしか出来ませんでした。FDSS7000EXではキセノン光源LC-8を使用してきましたが、FDSS/µCELL向けのLED光源ユニットを開発したことにより、Fura-2の測定における光源の省電力化を実現しました。

半導体故障解析装置のラインナップに両側から解析可能なDual PHEMOSが加わりました。従来、表面観察は正立型、裏面観察は倒立型と2台の装置が必要でしたが、Dual PHEMOSでは1台の装置で表面、裏面の観察が可能です。また、システムラックも1台で対応可能であるため、約300点の部品点数を削減できました。

ODPL測定装置(C15993-01)は、積分球を用いて全方位のフォトルミネッセンスのスペクトルを測定し、試料の発光効率を求める装置です。非破壊、非接触で、パワーデバイス材料として注目されているGaN単結晶や太陽光発電、LEDの高効率化が期待されるペロブスカイト結晶の品質評価に必要なIQE(Internal Quantum Efficiency : 内部量子効率)を瞬時に算出できます。
パワーデバイスのさらなる小型化、高速化、低電力損失化(効率化)の開発に寄与します。
