UVtron®:炎・放電センサは、金属の光電効果とガス増倍効果を利用した紫外線ON-OFFセンサです。感度波長範囲は185 nm~260 nmと、紫外域のみに感度を有しているため、半導体光センサなどのように光学的可視光カットフィルタを使う必要がなく、簡単に使用できます。
紫外線がUV透過ガラスを通して陰極(光電面)に一定量を超えて入射すると、電極材質の光電効果によって陰極表面から光電子(電子)が放出されます。
光電子が、電界エネルギーによって陽極側に引き寄せられ、加速しながら管内のガス分子と衝突して、ガス分子が電離します。
電離によって電子と陽イオンが発生します。
電子と陽イオンが他のガス分子との衝突を繰り返して、加速的に増加していきます。
UVtron®特有の放電条件を満たすと、陽極-陰極間に急激に大きな電流が流れて、放電状態になります。
炎や放電から放出される微弱な紫外線を正確に検出します。大空間対応および長距離対応を可能にするとともに、設置場所の自由度が高まります。
感度波長範囲が185 nm ~ 300 nmで可視域に感度がありません。また、Ni(ニッケル)電極採用の製品は太陽光からの紫外線に対しても感度がありません。光学的可視光カットフィルタなどを使用する必要がなく、屋内のみならず、屋外での使用にも適しています。
炎や放電から放出される紫外線を直接検出しているため、煙検知や熱検知などの他方式では難しい発火直後の炎や発生直後の放電を瞬時に検知します。数ms以下での即時検出・即時信号出力により、高い安全管理と迅速な事後対応に貢献します。
