2018年5月現在、下記「FDG-PET検査の保険適用要件表」の条件を満たした場合、保険が適用されます。
保険が適用されるかどうかは、医師により決定されます。検査受診をご希望の場合は、主治医にご相談ください。PET検査は細胞の活動の状態を捉えるため、形状の変化として現れないがん細胞を捉えることがあります。特に転移がんや再発がんは悪性度が高く、一般的に原発がんよりも多くのブドウ糖を取り込むとされ、PET検査で明確に描出されることがあります。さらに、PET検査は一度に広い範囲を検査するため、がんの広がりや進行度、転移、再発を知るために有効です。これらは適切な治療法の選定や治療の効果判定に役立ちます。
