食品の非破壊検査とは、食品の衛生状態などを検査する食品検査とは異なり、食品への異物混入やパッケージの不良などを確認するための検査です。食品への異物混入やパッケージの不良による食品の品質劣化などが発生すると、場合によっては社会的な問題になることもあります。原材料の生産から加工、調理・製造、梱包、出荷の各工程で必要な管理と検査が行われています。
食品の生産工程の中で、検査工程は大きく3つに分けられます。原材料の検査を行う「原材料検査」、入荷した食品の「受入検査」、食品の加工や調理、梱包工程の前後で行う「製品検査」です。浜松ホトニクスではX線/近赤外などのセンサやカメラを幅広く取り揃え、低密度異物や微細な異物、パッケージ品の不良などをインライン/オフラインで高精度に検出することができる最適なソリューションを提案いたします。
食品に使用される検査手法と、それぞれの撮像例を用いた事例を紹介します。
X線は透過率が高く、さまざまな対象物の内部を透過して検査が可能です。厚みのある対象物の内部検査や、パッケージ内部の異物検査にも有効です。一方で、X線は放射線被ばくの可能性があるため、それを抑えるために密度の高い鉛や鉄の厚い板で遮蔽する必要があり、装置が大掛かりになったり、コストがかかったりする場合があります。
可視光に近い特性を持った近赤外領域の光を使う近赤外検査は、被ばくの懸念なく物質内部を透過しての検査が可能です。装置も小さく、比較的安価であるため、導入しやすいというメリットがあります。一方で、X線と比較して検査できる対象物は限定されます。
